100% Pinot Noir, single vineyard, estate-bottled. The nose offers scents of red raspberry and red and black cherries with a bit of spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and elegant with the same red and black cherry fruit flavors. Refreshing acidity on the finish makes this wine a wonderful accompaniment to many foods and flavors.
The vineyard name is derived from a term in fairly wide use referring to the fisherman who catches the largest fish or the most fish and is referred to as the "High Hook." The winery was launched in 2008 as Fish Hook Vineyards but Constellation Brands had the trademark so the brand name was changed to High Hook.
The wines come from a single, sustainably farmed vineyard in the McMinnville AVA.
